VERITAS takes part in the “Rural development based on non-timber products in the Kyrgyz Republic” business forum

VERITAS members took part in the business forum devoted to the “Development of rural business based on non-timber forest products in the Kyrgyz Republic” that took place in Bishkek on August 26. The business forum was organized by the State Agency for Environment Protection and Forestry with the support of JICA Project for Development of Rural Business with Forest Products.

The business forum engaged business representatives, forestry managers, representatives of the banking sector.

Business forum participants have discussed the opportunities and challenges of forestry products, recommendations on joint forest management (JFM) and investment in the JFM, as well as the ways and further actions to develop rural business based on forest products.
